Bramble terms of use
Effective November 10, 2026
These terms are between you and Jared Vargason, who makes Bramble, a music app for Android. By using Bramble you agree to them. They're kept short and plain; the privacy policy covers what happens to information about you.
Your music is yours
Everything you make in Bramble belongs to you: your songs, the kits you make, and the audio and MIDI files you export from them. Use them however you like, including commercially: release them, sell them, put them in videos or games. You don't need to credit Bramble (though it's always appreciated).
The sounds that come with Bramble (the synth's presets, the drum kits, and the starter songs) are free to use in your music the same way, royalty-free. What you can't do is take the sounds themselves and pass them off or sell them as your own, such as a sample pack made of Bramble's drum samples.
Sounds you add
With Bramble Pro you can make kits from your own sounds, by importing audio files or recording with the microphone. Those sounds stay yours (or whoever's they are), and Bramble claims nothing in them. Only add sounds you have the right to use. When you export a kit, or a song that brings its kits, the sounds go with it, so share them only if you're allowed to. Kits and songs you get from someone else are theirs to share; use them as they allow. Bramble doesn't check what's in the sounds you add, and isn't responsible for how you use them.
Bramble Pro
Bramble Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. It unlocks its features for you, on any phone signed in to the same Google account, for as long as Bramble is offered and works on your phone. It's for your own use and can't be transferred to someone else. Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under its own terms and refund policy.
Using the app
You may use Bramble on your own devices. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the app itself, or present it as your own. Bramble includes open-source software, which is covered by its own licenses, listed in the app under ⋮ → About Bramble.
Bramble comes as it is
Bramble is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be free of errors, suit a particular purpose, or always be available. Features may change in updates. Bramble saves your songs and kits on your phone; keep copies of anything that matters to you (⋮ → Export → Song file, and Export kit on a kit you made), since a lost, reset, or broken phone, or uninstalling the app, can take them with it.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, Jared Vargason isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from using Bramble or being unable to use it, including lost songs, kits, or files, and total liability for anything to do with Bramble is limited to what you paid for it. Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits; nothing here takes away rights you have under that law.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continuing to use Bramble after that means you accept the new version.
